Disclosure to Learners
Session 1 -Will cover information on implicit bias, serving a diverse population, and cultural sensitivity.
Session 2 - Strategies to remedy the negative impact of implicit bias by recognizing and understanding how it impacts perception, judgment, and actions that may result in inequitable decision making, failure to effectively communicate, and result in barriers and disparities in the access to and delivery of health care services will be communicated.
Session 3 - Discussion of strategies to reduce healthcare access and delivery disparities and the effects of implicit bias in patient care delivery. Analyze case studies. Participants must have viewed Session 1 and Session 2 to participate.
**Learners must take a pre and post implicit bias assessment to determine increase awareness of implicit bias and its effect on patient care delivery.

Discussion of how to reduce barriers in access and delivery of care in Michigan

An evaluation of the content will be provided to the learner to forward to program provider for certificate of completion. Expiration date: 4/16/2024

To complete Session 2 “Strategies to reduce implicit bias in healthcare,” learners must watch the webinar in its entirety and perform a pre and post assessment test to acknowledge the implication of the learning activity on their practice. An evaluation of the content will be provided to the learner to forward to the program provider for certificate of completion. Expiration date: 4/16/2024
Session 3
To complete Session 3 “Bias and Disparities in Access to and Delivery of Health Care Services,” learners must have completed a previous session on implicit bias in healthcare and be present in-person or virtually to participate in a discussion evaluating case studies and the effects of implicit bias on the access to and delivery of healthcare services. Learners must perform a pre and post discussion assessment test and turn in an evaluation of the educational offering to the program provider to receive a certificate of completion.
